Community Bank of San Joaquin can assist you in the day-to-day management of your securities portfolio. We have assembled an impressive array of resources that help you, the investor, in effectively managing your assets.  The services we offer include:

Investment Management Service
Under this arrangement you assign Community Bank of San Joaquin the full responsibility to manage and account for your investment portfolio.  In undertaking this responsibility we:

  • Use our professional investment resources to invest your assets based upon your objectives,
  • Supervise and monitor your assets and make changes whenever they are to your advantage,
  • Collect all the income due to your account and see that it is always invested to your advantage,
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date record of the transactions of your account, safeguard securities, collect income, vote proxies,
  • Assist you in accumulating your assets under one "umbrella",
  • Provide you with comprehensive and meaningful accountings and performance measurement reports, and
  • Provide you with accurate and timely tax reporting.

When assigned the responsibility for managing your portfolio we work with you to establish an investment policy suited to your needs and risk tolerance. We then call upon our investment resources to manage your assets using up-to-date information and technology.

Investment Advisory Service
Sometimes the investor wishes to maintain a more active involvement in the decision making with respect to the portfolio.  The Investment Advisory Service provides all the services of the Investment Management Service, except that before we execute any transactions they are discussed with you.  You have the final approval of any transaction.

Custody Service
Certain of our clients will wish to only have us undertake the responsibility of the administrative paperwork for their investment portfolios while at the same time being able to enjoy our highly competitive execution services.

Under the Custody Service arrangement we assume no responsibility for the investment management or advice.  We perform the time consuming administrative tasks including income collection, cash management, securities settlement, tax reporting and full record keeping functions.

All of this is available to you while you have the comfort in knowing that your securities are fully protected. There is no need of insurance coverage for your securities because they are held separate and apart from the assets of the bank in an account that cannot be touched by anyone but you.

How Do I Go About Setting Up This Relationship?
Because these Investment Services do not require any form of estate planning or specialized documents, formalities are at a minimum. We have minimized the amount of paperwork to establish the account. These accounts can be terminated at any time.
